We are Occupational Therapists with an interest in Paediatrics and Adult Rehabilitation. Our mission is to enable clients of all ages to regain, maintain or improve their daily functioning in their home, school, work and community environments. We recognise the importance of meaningful activity (occupation) in people's lives, which supports functional performance and increases quality of life. Our aim is to provide an holistic and comprehensive Occupational Therapy service in Cape Town's Southern Suburbs, Atlantic Seaboard and West Coast regions.

Carmelita qualified with a BSc in Occupational Therapy in 2003 at the University of Cape Town. She has provided assessment and treatment of children and adults in a variety of settings (e.g. Bishops Pre-Preparatory, False Bay College, UCT Private Academic Hospital, Vincent Palotti Hospital in Pinelands, Kingsbury Hospital in Claremont and Blaauwberg Therapy Centre) since 2005. She attends paediatric and adult rehabilitation workshops and professional group meetings for ongoing professional development. She has also been part of the Western Cape Private Practitioners Group since 2005. Carmelita is trained in the Sensory Integration Theory and Test Mechanics of the Sensory Integration and Praxis Test (SIPT).
Our Location
We consult at the medical suites in Quadrant Square, Wilderness Road, Claremont, opposite Kingsbury Hospital.
